'UNSEEN NO MORE' ART SHOWS

We are excited to have offered three Unseen No More art shows to date; all highlighting the work on local, unknown artist.  Their work is hung and sold with all proceeds going directly to the artists.

We look forward to hosting more shows to showcase these amazing artists.

One of our goals was to share art with Adults with Disabilities.  With initial collaberation with VTC, we began our first classes.  After one year of classes, we held a gallery show where the public could view the art work our students had created and purchase theses pieces.  All proceeds from the sales went directly to the artists.

After 4 years and creating hundreds of pieces of art, we sadly will not be able to offer this program due to a lack of funds and teachers.  A heartfelt 'Thank You' to all the teachers who gave generously of their time and talent to lead these classes.  This was a very popular program, which expanded quickly.  Our students were as unique as the art they create - and we couldn't be more thrilled that we were able to help them develop their artistic abilities.

This program, offered by the Foundation, was funded through a generous grant from the Women's Fund of Northern Santa Barbara County.

We were able to offer free field trips to all four local, public high schools that year which included private docent tours of local museums in either Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo.  As well as tours of the art departments for local college/university campuses offering the opportunity for students to see what a career in the arts could look like.

For many of those students, this trip was life changing!

Hear from the students themselves on how this program impacted them.
